Math like poetry is a language with which to talk about the world. It is, like any other language, a beautiful form of expression. But it is also a great simplifier. It allows us to organize our ideas in a way that helps us learn more, and go deeper than would have been possible before. It has revolutionized peoples thinking and broadened our view of the universe. I also love the creativity. I am partially and artist at heart, I love to draw, paint and dance. In math I have found the same outlet for creativity, the great problem solving opportunities, and the necessity to look outside the box that I love in art.
maybe this is part of the answer.
